My Ride: 2006 530 d M-sport e60
Further to my post last week, my car is to be written off. The damage is just too much i guess. Thankfully i have guaranteed asset protection which will payout the difference between the insurance
settlement and the original price i paid for the car. So I might come out of this I hope.

I am very happy to hear about the asset protection. Maybe, F10?

Hope everything's taken care of by the insurance/asset protection quickly and painlessly, and you get a new (better!) ride in no time!
Hang in there!

Lol i wont get that much and my financial situation dictates otherwise as well. I will be looking for a 2007 LCI M-sport diesel when it`s all sorted.

I mentioned 535d because we can't get it here in the States, and from what I've heard, you can get upwards of 500hp/500lb ft of torque out of 535d, which is M5/Alpina B5S territory - and I'm sure that insurance and tax costs on the 535d are way less than an M5/Alpina B5S. And here's the thing: when I was buying my 530Xi, I could've bought a 545i for not that much more money, but I decided on the 6cyl for "practical reasons". In hindsight, I've regretted this decision occasionally, because even with the higher running costs of the 545, I'd e happier with it's performance. Guess I'm just trying to present the "flip side"

My Ride: 2008 550I LOADED, all options except HUD and NV
Well the good news is you're fine and healthy. The car situation will get sorted soon enough - nothing wrong with a 2007 LCI at all, that is a nice little upgrade
