Sorry to hear the news. I've just got my 530i back after the wife was hit in the front RHS. They replaced suspension bits, fender, wheel, bumber bar and a few other bits. Approx. $12K (Australian $) damage. Yours is much worse than mine. It wouldn't surprise me if the insurance company wrote it off. Good luck with getting it sorted out.

No surprise there as I said im my first post..........

I know its gutting but I think its best for you mate, like many people have said, when you get a big smack on a car it never feels the same again.

Well that sounds like a much better result than the insurer refusing to total the car and sticking you with a patched up car that will never be the same.

Time to break out the M5.

well the car is totaled all said and done, final damage report was just under 35k. So i have bought an CPO X5 4.4 2006 fully loaded with prem,sport,cold and 20 inch rims. So my wife is taking the X and I will finally put some miles on the m5... life could be worse. I will post pics of the m and X as soon as i can....thanks to all for the support and information..

BTW i will be parting out the 5 shifter with wire harness, m5 foot rest, Dinan floor mats, pro fit iphone 2g and 2g holder and an ACS exhaust... let me know or Pm me thanks

Congrats on getting it totaled as opposed to patched up. That's a good result for you. And now....you'll be streching out the M5's legs. Now that's the real good result.
