Hello,
My car has about 33,500 miles on it. I noticed that behind the wheels there is rust on all four wheels near the brakes. At least I think it's near the brakes. Please take a look at the attached pics and can someone tell me if I need to be concerend about this? Should anything be done to clean off the rust or should I not worry about it. Thanks. |
It is perfectly normal for this type of rust to occur. If it concerns you I would scrape it off with a wire brush and paint the calipers and center of the rotors with high-temp rust prevention paint (like Rustoleum). The same happens to the face of your rotors if you wash your car and leave it sitting for a couple of days you will see rust develop on the face of the rotors - harmless and unavoidable.
