I like black wheels, and I have considered them for my silver 545 as well, but in some of those pictures it looks like the car doesn't have ANY wheels on it... That's a definite downside to doing the black-out look. I would pass on it for your (and my) cars.

Maybe a compromise would be the 167s with the black or gunmetal sides/interior, but silver on the face. Those would look sharp and different, but still look like it has wheels on it.

1esquire thanks I couldnt have said it better myself, I was very torn here, because in pictures it looks like there are no wheels at all, an isnt that the point of buying aftermarket wheels?

To all, thanks for your help as well, and believe me I know its a matter of choice, and I just wasnt sure this looked good so I just needed some re-enforcement.

Oh and for those of you who say get 20" well I thought I had a sweet deal on some 19" wheels, so I paid for them, then ordered my tires from a different source. Well as it turns out Ive got 19" tires in my garage ready to go, and the wheels I paid for 6 weeks ago are still on back order. So the only way to go from me is 19", unless I am willing to take a loss. I am so mad that this vendor didnt tell me the wheels were on back order I simply refuse to take the hit here.

thanks for everyone's help, stay tuned for the results in the coming weeks with pictures posted!!!!

I like them. They're different. Not that I dont like the 166's but everyone's got them these days. These are cool because they look good AND they're different. You've obviously made up your mind already.

All the best

Flush it! I think the black wheels does not look good on silver cars.

I personally like the simple spokes with deep lip. I will highly recommend the HAMANN HM2 or similar ones. Other than they look great with silver car, but the wheel itself is very very strong(OE by O.Z.). I had them on my e39 549 6 speeds for 5 years and never get to bent them when driving around New Jersey/New York area. You know how bad the road we have here...
