Suddenly I'm running rough on startup with SES light on and codes P0201 and 2E30. Also getting some lightish color smoke on startup that goes away.
I have a 2006 525XI with 140,000 miles. The codes I'm getting are from Blue Driver. That's all I have access to.
Seems like this problem varies in severity (RPMs and whether SES light actually comes on) and I would even call it intermittent in that at times I'm idling normally and no codes. Next day at startup problem begins all over again.
Any thoughts?

I've been reading that on N52 engines fuel injectors don't usually have failure problems, even at 140,000 miles. Is that your understanding?

Thanks for your insight. Would the code indicating fuel injector 1 lead you to believe it could possibly be as simple as the o-ring on injector 1 that is the vacuum leak? If it had at least 50/50 chance of being this simple I may undertake doing this myself and then re-evaluating. However, it not this is a lot of time and effort to waste for me.

Go to Harbor Freight and buy a mechanic's stethoscope. Listen to each injector to see if you can hear it tick/click. If Injector #1 does not tick or making a clicking noise then you probably have a bad a injector, pigtail/harness or bad fuel pressure. Other thing I would recommend is buying a "noid" light test kit off amzaon or something and test the injector harness pigtail/connector. Try those first before you do anything else like replacing spark plugs, coil packs, vacuum hoses, etc.
good luck.
good luck.
