I wonder if it is illegal in holland too?? For normal tires it isn't.. Are normal tire repairs illegal too in germany???
btw. are you a real german ice or are you an american living there???

But on "highspeed" tires it isn't.
I am an American born in the wrong country.
I feel American, have a green card, love everything there and don't like anything here, but I am stuck here for some family reasons.

Ice, you've gotta like the autobahn

Thanks for all the posts ,
I had it repaired today and was delighted not to have to fork out for a new tyre.
By the way, the RPA warning is largely unecessary - since the flat Dunlop DSST make such a racket at 30 mph you wouls have to be deaf not to notice it!
Hi Iceman , I can't see the danger in repairing a run flat - in the unlikely event the repair subsequently fails then no problem whatsoever - just drive on ?

My sidewalls on the tire say DSST (wich is the term for the runflat tire) and there also is a written warning on the sidewalls of the tires that they are only allowed on cars with RPA.

You experience of a flat on the run-flat Dunlop DSST was just like mine. The amount of noise it made was unbelieveable. I originally heard a faint clicking noise from the rear driver side (where the flat was). Then I realised pedestrians were looking around at my car as I drove post. On opening the window I then realised the racket that was being caused. I thought it was a major tyre fault of something. So embarrassing. :'(
At least you got your tyre repaired like mine.
