I have a 2004 bmw 545i with 20 inch m6 rims. I have noticed if i out someone in the backseat the rear wheels rub. Is it possible because the rear struts have worn down now that the car is about 7 years old? would new rear struts solve this problem? i really do not want to take off the rims, they make the car look amazing. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

you probably need to roll the inner fender lip in the back for some clearance, easily done with a heat gun, a hammer, and some care or a fender roller if you're worried about damaging the paint.

Not always the case. What tire setup are you running on your wheels?

Also, mine rubs just on big dips and its the inner plastic guard that the tyre touches. First see where its rubbing before folding any metal back.

If your running 285s in the back try switching to 275s. Or just roll your fenders it'll do the trick.

Roll the fenders bro, BMW suspension parts last longer then most cars.
