rpm redline?

guys I noticed when I got my car few months ago my redline was over 7k rpm but
now its at 7k rpm.seems like its adjusting down.

anybody knows waasup?

What engine do you have? I thought redline was closer to 6500 not anywhere near 7k... I dont think you're remembering correctly...

I dont think its going to get to the 7000rpm mark, Did you let your car warm up first?

here is a pic i took arround the time when i got the car.ill look at it again to make sure.i took this pics to ask if the rpm adjusts
after awhile or something.

My Ride: 2004 545i - 6 speed manual (July 04 build), silver-grey/black, sports package std equipment (18", active roll, active steering, adaptive headlights), premium sound, bluetooth enabled, folding rear seat, lumbar, 3m hood/bumper protective film, rear tint, euro reflectors.

The warning zone moves up as the engine warms up, but the hard red line zone is set at 6500 to the 7000 mark on a 545i. I believe it cuts fuel starting at 6500 but will go slightly above it - I think I hit it once when it rev'd up faster than I thought it would in first.

after looking at it more carefully I see that the red mark doesn't move sorry guys.
also iam hella trippin cus the pics does show
red lines at 7k but look at it this morning and its at 6500.so when I compared the pics and what iam looking at its a totally different
gauge.so I even thought it got replaced at the dealer when it got service without me knowing it.well after all that I remember I had a 08 x5 as a loaner and I must of took that pic of that.sorry again nubee mistake.lol
