In mixed hwy/city daily comute I average 25.5 mpg. Straight hwy I always get over 30 mpg.
Impressive. So far with the 550i, I have gotten 26 all highway and 20.5 in mixed driving (or with LOTs of spirited mountain driving).

Anyone know how well the 535xi does? I assume you drop a few mph with the all wheel drive.

The G35 Sport (automatic) in the test had a 0-60 time of 5.3 seconds. The new G37 Coupe Sport (manual) listed in the back of the magazine in the Road Test Summary had a 0 - 60 time of 5.5 seconds! So much for new and improved.
Hhahahhahhaha really? 0 to 60 in 5.5 for the G37??? If so that would be sooo awesome! SUCKER!!!!!!

Ok I'm very bad... shame of me to wish the G37 as a failure... I apologize for my childish response.

Congratulations to BMW... hurry up and bring me the 135!

rstiles - that's truly impressive....over 30 mpg on the freeway? Now that two of you have testified to this level of mileage, I'm beginning to believe . Curious what are the ratings for the 535i? No offense intended, but do you drive really mellow? I'm more of an agressive driver and don't usually get anywhere near the EPA ratings.....if I could average 25mpg...I'd be a happy camper. My truck averages 17mpg and my GT500 averages 15mgp. GT500 doesn't count though as it's a weekend car and it is IMPOSSIBLE to not drive it agressively.....
No I do not drive 'really mellow'. Most of the time I cruise around 85 to 90 mph on the hwy and am pretty aggressive on twisty back roads. I don't think you will have any problem averaging 24 to 25 mpg.
Congrats on your purchase. I am sure you will be thrilled with the car.

I average about 20-22 MPG with my 535xi... That's because I do alot of city driving

On the highway going 80mph I average over 30

Also I swear my sprint-booster degrades my gas milage significantly

I get about 28MPG at 80MPH on the highway and 18MPG city, I am averaging 23MPG and I do about 50/50 highway/city driving. I can get 30MPG if flat and stay at 65MPH to 70MPH.

Keep in mind the torque actually went DOWN in the new Infiniti G and the max HP, I believe, is higher in the RPM band. That will definitely have a negative affect on 0-60 times. But the new G is probably a good bit quicker to, say 100MPH, than the previous one.

Was your vehicle on the boat that sank in transit?
