E60 = One of the Greatest Cars of All Time. Like the Eiffel Tower it was was controversial and it achieved icon status with a lasting influence in its design field. The F10 is very timid in comparison.

The E60 and E61 are produced in Dingolfing and in Munich. Baring in mind that the F10 will be delivered in March it makes sense that they discontinued the E60, but they have not stopped the production of the E61 in Munich (for example) as it is still to be ordered/produced until Summer 2010.
