If you're serious, I'm dyin laughing. I'm taking my 166 rim in to American Wheels up here in IL. to repair a scrape like that for $129.00. Sure beats buying another rim for $400+

You got off light here. My dad, God love him, shifted my 964 a few summers ago from 5th to 3rd at 150 mph. The 964 has full syncro transmission, the car went into gear, and wham, lost everything aft of the gear box. My Porsche man figured the engine held together till around 11,000 rpm, and then gave up. Spread engine parts, metal shavings, and oil for almost 200 yards. Dad made the comment that an engine rev limiter seems to be worthless when downshifting.
