Default Rims on the 525i... HELP!!

Hi to everyone,

I'm fairly new to this forum.

I have a 2007 525i and am switching from the stock 17" rims to 19's. I am looking at the aftermarket rims on wheelfire.com I do not know whether I should buy staggered 235 front 265 rear or just get non staggered 235 front and 235 rear.... I am currently considering MRR GT5 they look pretty good on the 3 series coupe but have not seen any pics on the e60.

Also the MRR HR6 are pretty good looking

My car is the same exact color.

Anyone have any other ideas???? I like the gt5's but the lip is too wide . Please post some pics

P.S anyone have any prior experience with wheelfire?

Thanks in advance

I have no experience with that compant however let me offer some insight. take it or leave it.
The lip on the first wheel is perfect, however that 5 spoke design shows off those oem brakes.. Im not a fan.
the second wheels look good. While i was looking at wheels i searched into miro 111's, oem style 166, Concept 1 and will always dream of buying HRE wheels..
Im not sure of your budget. I personally dont have the cash to drop on HRE's but really love the look of dark wheels with a black lip on an e60.
this is what i went with.
The gun metal color for me, is perfect. Darker than our silver grey car and not black. They hide dirt and brake dust extremely well..

My car is the same exact color as yours and even the non xenon headlights are the same. Im also looking into buying an Mtech body kit. The rims you have are replicas or OEM? because personally i love the 166 style of BMW. My dealer gave me a quote of about 5 k for original BMW 166 style rims only!!!!! Without the tires which is way too much. Im looking to spend from 1.5 to 2k for both rims and tires which is exactly the territory where those HRE's fall into. Thnx

The correct recommended tire sizes for E60 5-series for 19" are 245/35-19 front & 275/30-19 rear some people go wider on the rear with 285/30-19 ... if you go 235 & 265 it'll have shorter sidewall and the ride will be more harsh & will easily damage the wheel ... some even go taller with 245/40-19 front & 275/35-19 rear to give more cushion and better protection to the wheel.

235 & 265 are proper fitment of 3-series.

i have the oem 166 wheels with 245-35-19 and 275-35-19 and although a little bigger than what most run, the ride is amazing and i have a little more piece of mind that the wheel has more protection, it also doesn't look as if the tire is all big or anything, actually pretty good look and i am very happy.
