Nope. Never had an issue with the TPMS and false alarms after I switched out the RFTs.

Also, for what it's worth, it was the appalling wet weather performance of the stock RFTs that was one of the primary drivers behind my switch to standard tires. The RE050A was terrible in the wet and particularly when ambient temperatures were (relatively) low.

Okay I have a 530D M Sport which came with the 18" 135 alloys and runflat tyres as standard, I ran them for a while with no issues, but when it came to change I went with 'normal tyres' which made the car feel better imo and still no issues.

However I only use the 135's now as my winter rims and run 19's mainly now.

No PS2's in stock!! So went for Hankook V12 110' and BC gave me a 5% discount for the trouble too

Ride: Improved a lot - I would say 1/3rd better than before and the car now floats a little more, but overall the "stoney/gravelly" feel through the steering has reduced by 80%!!

Handling: Boy what a difference! Turn in is sharper, no more tram lining when braking, and totally composed under accel

Road Noise: What road noise - so much quietr than those NCT5 RFT's.

All in all chuffed...

Well done on the change from RFT's; I also couldn't beleive the difference when swapping tyres over.

IMHO running any tire, with 1/8" of tread depth, aggressively in the rain is trouble looking for an opportunity to happen - RFT or not!

As far as retro-fitting you have most of the answers you will need should you desire to make the change. FYI, I run my Summer UHP RFT Bridgestones until the cold weather sets in and then I switch out for (conventional) General UHP All Seasons on CSL's on my '07 530xi. I do notice a slightly softer ride on the Generals but I think it's due more to the tire's design characteristics. I'm sure there are tires out there with stiffer sidewalls - though none as stiff as is necessary with a RFT design.
