retrofitting comfort seats
yes yes i know this has been asked a few times before, and shot down saying it was "too expensive", that each seat was $4000 from the dealer.
trouble is, if you go to car-part and just look for seats pulled from wrecked e60s...they're more like $400, which puts this retrofit very much into the realm of affordability as long as you're only replacing one seat (the driver's)
could have sworn i saw a detailed pictorial at some point but i lost it
also some people have mentioned its more difficult if you dont have seats with memory? i thought the e60 came standard with memory seats? what gives?
the reason i ask? finding an e60 with comfort access + comfort seats is borderline impossible, no sense trying to find the combo when you can just swap in one half of it, eh?

My Ride: E60
Model Year: 2016
We did that in HK....three e60 changed to comfort seat and four even change to E66 full ventilated seat.
Need lots of wiring.....and finally with coding, all function works perfectly.

but jesus, a 7 series seat swap? i would never have thought that was even possible, i'd be EXTREMELY curious exactly how much wiring was needed, are we talking multiple relays and routing cables or just some soldering into 12v sources? ventilated seats sound damn nice
EDIT: has anyone attempted an even crazier feat of putting an e60 seat into an e90? now that would be something indeed
