B2 terminal 31 BR
this is a brown wire which is the ground reference for the hood pin switch. The X1816 connector is a ground distribution block. Let me see if I can find a picture for you.

Here is what I got if it helps. Your X1816 connector is part of the set of distribution blocks that are linked together above the CD changer mounting bracket. B2 connects to any empty slot on connector X1816. I don't remember if they are labeled individually but you want the one with the ground wires.

Thanks, I thought that it needed ground but was not quite sure. Now i can measure them. None of them is labeled so I wanted to ask here first since the other end is connected to CAS.

Yeeah, it's great that people wanna share their knowledge to help

New question, now everything works but when looking into the tilt sensor using "INPA" I can see that X axis is on the far red reading "33!" Y axis was green on -5 I think so that one is good.
Is this normal?
Is the tilt sensor inside the ultra sonic sensor?

methodsound,
Off topic here but I wanted to follow up with you and see if you're still interested in swapping trunk panels? Let me know and I'll give you a call to discuss. Thanks,
Nate

Still can't get my tilt sensor to act correctly, if I take it off and lay it flat on the floor both X and Y will go to zero. Mounted correctly X axis will go to "33!".... If i turn it 180 degress Y axis goes to "33!" and X axis to around 0.
Maybe the tilt sensor is defekt? There is really only one way to mount it.

Hey Nate, I have the aluminum panels and brackets if interested. I went crazy on my car during the return to stock and I decided to rebuild it instead of selling it. I will be using some of the trunk panels in my new system so I need to hang onto them.
