Hi Chaps,

I know their is a long thread on the ACM/USB retrofit, but as I mentioned in my 'Newbie' post I was awaiting news of an offical SA6FL USB Interface kit which BMW AG was going to trial in my car. My dealr was just awaiting confirmation.

Well the update is that the kit is now available and is listed in the September 2008 ETK for the E60. The downside is that if your car is fitted with the 'Charge Electronics Low' then you will also have to change this to the 'Charge Electronics High' unit which is not part of the kit.

Regards

Melv

How do you now if you have charge electronics high?

EDIT:Just phoned my local dealer and the retrofit kit is ?151.00+vat but he seems to think if the car didnt come with usb then it will have ULB low fitted and to change that to high is ?250+vat.

Hi skylolow,

Not sure but it shows up on the ETK (09/2008) on my 11/2007 LCI E60. If you give me your last 7 digits of your chassis I can put this in and check if it shows up for your car also. PM me if you prefer not to post your chassis number on the forum.

Regards

My dealer already told me it's doable- nicke60gre has the kit and his is a 2003 - so no prob. I don't know however if certain options are necessary (like pro nav etc.)

I really dont get whats going on with the information on realoem. The retro fit kit for the USB audio SA6FL says you need the ULF "high" which I get but that is part of the SA644 bluetooth retrofit kit. If your car like mine comes with SA633 bluetooth from the factory then the car doesnt have a ULF but a TCM(telematics control unit), fitted in the same place the ULF would go. Knowhere can I find out if that can be retro fitted with USB audio.
