Right.. heres the story.. When i was buying my car the airbag light and seatbelt light were on and i said that i would only purchase the car if these were fixed.. So when i collected the car that was done. 1 Week later and it come back on again... so i took it down to them again (been 120 mile drive its well out my way) they said to leave it with them and that they would send it to BMW directly to have the Safety Gateway Modual replaced as that was the problem... Fine, so i collect my car a week later and all is well again... after another week... today infact.. bam! On it comes again... Grrrr!!!

Now they want me to take it back down to them, another 120 miles. so they can send it to there BMW dealer again to have fixed... WHY!!!!

 

i have excatly the same problem on my 530d 2004.
its down to the seat pad on my passenger side being worn/faulty, every time i get the error cleared about a month later it pops up again...i need to replace that pad because im sure all the time the yellow light is on, the air bag wont deploy?

Hey Dave, mines a 2005, i will suggest to them when i drop it off that it might be the seat pad. either way they are paying for it. They agreed that it would be fixed in order for me to purchase the car and im not putting up with them trying to tell me to claim on warrenty and to pay extra 100 excess!

I will keep this updated on weather they finaly get it fixed.. as it is they have spent ?500 on it getting that safety gateway modual replaced
