Hey guys, just like the title says..how do I reset the passenger airbag and seat belt fault light on the dash? The Indy did it for me once and it stayed off for at least 6 months. Now its back. Can I unplug the module? Will it reset?

My Ride: 2004 BMW 545i sport package with Mteck & M5 Rims Mpower
Wow !! I just had this same problem on my car ( 2004 545i ) sport package which is the same year of yours . I'm planning to go to my mechanic so that he could turn that off by resetting the module . I believe that's the only way . If you unplug the module I,don't think it will reset it self I think I'm 100 %'on the .

The module itself stores the fault. You'll be surprised at the amount of detailed information the modules in your car writes to its memory. You will have to use a bmw tool to reset it. If you are adventurous, pay a trip over to BMW Coding Forum and learn about the wonders of module of coding. Otherwise, maybe someone with coding tools (INPA/DIS, etc) resides in your area and can assist.
