Is there such a thing ^^ as per topic heading? My oil level warning comes up on the i-drive and the console, have topped it up but it still keeps coming on (topped it up a few days ago..)
Would disconnecting the battery do it? Where the hell is the battery lol?
Any help would be much appreciated...

As far as the oil level, I don't know why there would be any reset -- the level should be monitored in real-time and should only come on if the oil is low. Are you sure you're not getting an oil change warning?
If you're sure it's a low oil level warning and you're sure that you've topped it off (be careful not to overfil) then there might be something wrong with the oil level sensor.

dont top off, just change the oil and oil filter and if you want to do it your own, you can search the forum how to reset it the oil change signal, but do it if its absolutely necessary. I suggest you take it to the dealer as you need to have the AS reset if I remember correctly. The battery is in the rear right compartment in the boot.

On the i-drive screen it just says oil level below minimum please top it up at your nearest convenience to prevent engine damage (or words to that effect)
It is possible that the sensor is faulty, however the car has only done 33,000km - should it be?

I started the car cold, turned it to hard left, turned off the car, then restarted it and the AS problem was solved, fully functional again!!!
