Looking at 19" Spiders - I believe they are standard on the 550 msport

The Replicas I'm looking at are 1/4 the price of what BMW are selling the real thing for.

What do you guys think?

I'm not certain what wheel style you're referring to - a picture or link might help. As for "replica wheels" ... there is a wide range of quality and price. Price and quality are not always in alignment.

Some OEM BMW wheels have a history of cracks and failures - Some REPs don't. If you have a couple of specific manufacturers / sellers and styles, forum members might be able to provide you with their personal experience(s).

By the way - is there anyone on 20" alloys on the M sport suspension? How is the ride?

I have 20" Miro 111 on Hankook Ventus V12 and the ride is great. I am also lowered on H&R sports springs. My ride is smoother now than when I had my stock runflats.

Nice wheels, Miro is another I was considering. I'm on 18" with runflats at the mo and am having trouble with buckles in ALL 4 wheels and a crack in a rear. The runflats are a tough ride but I like how the car handles so,,,,, If I increase rim size to 20" with non run flats then; would the ride be similar?

Anyone experienced any issues with damaged 20" tyres or rims? (this is my only concern) - Does M sport suspension on 20"s + medium pothole = trouble? Should I be safe and get 19's?

Where do you live? If there are a lot of potholes in your area, it might be safe to go with 19" wheels.

I would not vote for replicas, stick with OEM. Too much variance in quality as luigi524td described, you just never know what you're going to get. You can always look on the forums to find good pricing on 2nd hand shoes if new OEM is too expensive. I bought my HRE's on M5Board, very reputable seller.

Here in the Uk we had a major problem with BMW wheels cracking, it was even on a top consumer programme called watchdog......BMW didn't want to know?.....So me personally i would go with replicas, surely can't be as bad as oem?
