I need to get my front control arm bushings replace soon, the dealer is asking $585 for two front. What other options and brands are out there, just replace the bushing or the entire control arm?

Well, it is difficult to impossible to replace just the bushing, unless you have a press. Since FCPGroton offers a lifetime warranty and they are affordable, it makes more sense for a DIY'er to buy the entire control arm and make it THAT much easier on themselves.

I just had front Thrust Arm bushings replaced by indy BMW Mechanic in Orange County, CA. He said my left front bushing was completely gone with a lot of play in the wheel, I have bout 75K miles 545i. Now suspension feels like a new car Wow! he got $412.00 in labor and 85.00 in parts everything costs more out here. Hey what have others paid for this? just curious. Seems that doing the control arm replace yourself is a bitch as you must remove the shocks to remove the control arm. so for me worth having a mechanic to it.
He also says the loud click I hear when braking is the brake pads ( I thought was the bushings) I installed myself. Cool Carbons.
They don't fit in the caliper correctly apparently. They also squealed like crazy for about 6 months now. Finally they stopped, and they dust much less than the OEM's, but the loud crack sound when braking is frustrating especially after paying more money than others. It is loud enough that people turn their heads to see where the sound is coming from. So cool carbons, thumbs down.
