my530i: Is it worth changing the original subwoofers that came with Logic7 on the 530i to say those SWS-8? Is it something you could do yourself or needs some pro? Thanks.

I'd rather ask a pro to do it if it's less than 4 or 5 hour of labor.
Swabbing the sub under seats are very easy. No mount adapter to fit at all. Take out the old one and put in the new one. Fits exactly even with screw locations.
This Earthquake SWS-8 is 105W RMS compared to L7 sub which is 75W RMS. It's 25% more power handling. If you replace the sub, you must add an amp to take the advantange of high power handling capability.
If I were you, I'd do it. Buy a 300W 2-channel amp with 2 SWS-8 which would cost you less than $700. Don't buy 500W or 1000W. It's over kill for these subs.
Please let me know if you have any more question.
