Today I have the local auto detail shop to replace my 04 530i interior lamps with led. As I was driving away, I was immediately hit with "Right Parking Light fault" and "Passenger Rest- System fault" and made my airbag light come up on my dash as well. They swaped the original bulbs back but the faults still remain.

Will the faults eventually go away or I need to bring the car to dealer to check and reset them?
I appreciate your advice.

You can try disconnecting the battery then reconnect it. That's what I usually do to my other cars. Haven't done this method on the e60 yet though.

It needs to be cleared. And for the record, it's a coincidence, the interior LED swap does not cause those problems.

Who did you buy the lights from?

My headlights are cloudy so I came to Flash Mobile Car Wash in Milpitas to have the lens polished. They happen to carry the LED bulbs there so I asked them to swap the interior bulbs with LED's. I don't remember the LED brand.

I am concerned if this is just a coincedence or those LED's caused those faults as I'll be taking a long drive to LA next week and not confortable with the "Pass. Rest- System fault"

I have the Passenger mat. replaced by BMW dealer a while back. The car is just above 100K miles and not under warranty.
