Default Replace engine mount vac pipes with silicone?

I have replaced my top vac pipes on my 05 535D with 3.5mm silicone - obviously there are the active engine mounts vac pipes which can also fail, but also appear to have a thicker more robust pipe attached than the turbo pipes... Can i simply change these for the same silicone replacement? my thinking is that the pressure is surely the same, seeing as they are part of the same vac system.

I am trying to weed out a fault code for 'Smooth running controller value too high' and my exhaust flap not working - so hoping this small inexpensive addition might help.

Thoughts?
