Wouldn't you know it I had a friend of mine install my side skirts and rear deck spoiler. The side skirts look great but he mounted the rear deck spoiler 2 far back. It actually hangs a little over the trunk. I'm not crazy about how it looks. What is the ideal placement? If I decide to , how do I go about removing it and what would I use to re-attach it? Would removing the tape damage my paint? Thanks guys.

Use heavy duty waxed dental floss ( try doubling it up if it breaks) slide it under the end and pull it towards you in a back and forth sawing action , you need to put new tape on it if you want it to stick though............Good luck

The recommended tape i've had success is the 3M double sided tape. The tape can be bought at your local AutoZone or Kagrens... Good luck on the reinstall

As far as mounting location... I have mine more forward than typical (on the flat of the trunk lid rather than the angled part). I remounted mine because like you I thought it was too far back the first time (plus it was pulling up a little) and I wanted to try a little different look. I was happy with it for a long time, but the other day decided I want to move it back more toward the rear (but not as far back as the first time). I haven't buffed the car out yet this year, so will probably do it then.

Then next year I will probably decide to mount it some different way again.... Glad it's pretty easy to redo. Good luck with yours.
