Hi
I need to remove the carpet so i can check the electrics under where the spare wheel should go as i have found signs of water in the battery comp and am concerned.I have seen the thread re sunroof drain pipes, but my car doesn't have a sunroof and am curious how water is getting in

Is there a guide on how to remove this carpet so i can inspect the electrics ?

Thanks

Paul

Just lift up the boot floor and then get someone to hold up the storage compartment tray. The electrics are located under the trim you can now see on the floor. I managed to remove this and replace it with some care by prying it out from under the trim panels, some people like to loosen the r/h side plastic trim off to help but I found I didnt need to bother. You need to take care under some of the trim as it has rubber feet that you will lose if your not careful.
