Remove fuel rail

I'm attempting to upgrade my N52 525i to a 3-stage intake manifold. (This upgrade has been discussed in several threads in this forum.) I'm following the Bentley instructions. I'm close to being able to remove my current intake manifold. However, I cannot figure out how the fuel rail is removed. The fuel rail sits on a bracket which is mounted on the engine block with 4 screws. The screws are removed easily enough. However, the fuel rail is still attached to what I assume are the fuel injectors. Having removed the bracket screws, I'm not sure what else is needed to remove the fuel rail and whether pulling it will remove it or damage the fuel injectors. Bentley just says to remove the fuel rail and lay it aside without disconnecting the fuel line. Does anyone know how to disconnect the fuel rail from the fuel injectors? Thanks in advance.
