Hello,
after a little research i decided to try and install a Python 4102 on my 2004 530i. Called tech support, some say it is possible, some say it is not because of brake needs to be pushed in order to start the car. Don't see any problems with that, unless it is a data send info.
Anybody tried installing a remote starter on their 2004 530i?

In case you do not understand I believe most BMWs now have smart keys. Meaning the key must be inside the car and close to the ignition switch to start the car, If the key is not near the ignition how will you be able to start the car?

It does have a chip in the car. I'll be installing a valet key in the car. "universal Bypass" "556UW"
Tomorrow i'll try to install it. wish me luck!

I want to be clear on what i ment by saying smart start. If you haven't heard of it yet it is basically a "Directed" remote starter (in my case it is python 4201) with a gsm module. You can Lock/Unlock/Panic/Start your car from an iPhone app. The range is pretty much unlimited.
I love my car the way it is, and i was hesitated of installing a remote starter, only because i did not want any remotes on my key chain. With Smart start i can avoid that problem.

healthservices have you done it? can you help me out with finding a correct Ignition wire?
