hi everyone, recently bought 525d estate e61 55 reg(11/2005)
within two weeks both keys stopped opening or shutting car, but it still run the ignition once i stick the key and pressing engine start button.
for some reason central locking is working manually via driver door (there is little emergency key hidden inside main key) but when im open the door alarm goes off really loud untill ill put main key into ignition hole. my first thought was that the key battareys are flat, but aint no battareys in them as keys are rechargarge from ignition every time engine runs.it might be a button inside of car that deactivate remote keys central locking/unlocking,but im not shure there is any at all.manyal doesnt say nothing about it.
anyone please can help with my issue?thank u guys

There's a locking module under the roof in the back of your car, and it's probably filled with moisture. That's pretty common on the E61 model. I've heard of the exact same problem with a 535dA T in Sweden, and that was caused by moisture and two cables that was damaged in the tailgate.

I had a similar problem and the module shown below (4) was bad, the part is around $150. They probably have a similar part in the touring. Have you noticed your FM radio has bad reception? Both receivers are in the same module (this module actually doesn't contain the FM receiver but the FM amplifier).
