What is the cause of the reduction of remote working distance ?

Thanks.
Had the same issue on previous 2006 E60: dealer found a faulty receiver, which was replaced under warranty.

Can't tell you which side the atenna is on UK models. My car (UK model) had atenna replaced in C pillar. I think from memory (2 years ago) Looking at the at car head-on it was the right hand side C piilar where the antenna is located.

This would make sense because they place the antenna closest to the drive side (on left hand drive cars).

So, in UK, the antenna is located in the driver side of the US model (left side). Then would the US car has the antenna located in passenger side (right side) ?

Thanks for the reminder. I removed the center 3rd brake light cover/trim and saw the antenna amplifier located to the left side of the brake light (towards to the passenger side for US model). Therefore, I can assume that the connector and ground screw will be behind passenger side C-pillar.

My 2 key remotes working distance is getting less and less every day. Now, I have to stand next to the car that remote could lock/unlock the doors. Sometimes, I press the lock/unlock buttons many times, and doors would not lock/unlock. I use these keys everyday and the batteries inside should be charged. I drove the car about 100 miles each day.

What is the cause of the reduction of remote working distance ?

Thanks.

Have it replaced @ the dealer, I did.

I had my diversity antenna replaced a couple of weeks ago, the remote now works from almost 100 yards away.
The dealer replaced mine under warranty but the job looks easy enough to do yourself.
