I had to replace my E60 back rear window last week :'( and after installation I notice that I have to stand right next to the driver door for the lock/unlock button on my car key to work. If I stand in the back of the car (trunk) or on the right hand passenger side the lock/unlock button won't work due to lack of signal(?)
Did the installer forgot to plug some thing (atenna cables) back?

Are you talking about the rear window (not plural) or the windows in the rear doors?

Well, the rear window aerial is used for the reception of the remote unlock signal so yes, it's likely that they didn't hook it up properly (or there is a problem with the embedded antenna itself in the window.)
Do you get good radio reception? Was the window an OEM one or something else?

Good point Rudy... The replacement window should be OEM, I'll check the radio reception and confirm with the installer tomorrow. Thanks so much for the recommendation.
