I've seen a few posts where people have regretted NOT getting the sports package. I'm wondering if anyone who HAS the sports package regrets getting it? (i.e. too harsh of ride, don't like active steering, etc.)

I like the sports package features, but I also like a luxury ride. I don't want to make a mistake in getting the sports package and then regretting it.

Thanks for any input.

545 with SP is a smoother ride than the 540 also equipped with SP. No regrets and wouldn't want it any other way.

Sport Pkg with confort seats way to go :)

Sports package rocks. No regrets, except for the wife continuously getting carsick. She'll get over it...

I test drove a 545 with sports package and loved it. I threw the wife around so much she made me order the comfort seats with the adjustable side bolsters! :P Being a BMW newbie it seems strange to me to get a car that is less than 100% of the suspension capability. That is why I chose 545 over the E500.

No regrets here. Sports package is the only way to go!

My regret is that I didn't get comfort seats.

I think the sport suspension i an excellent compromise between sport and comfort.

It?s of course biased to the sport side but anyway gives a comfy ride. The DD also helps making the car sporty when pushing on twisting roads and keep the comfort when driving around town.

Comfort seats adds the final touch to this sport/comfort setup. Very comfortable for long drives and still gives a good grip for the body when driving more active.

Reminds me of my favorite "The Hire", Star.

This is my third five series and the the sports suspension is far superior to the previous model. It is very tight and the car feels glued to the road.
