Reasonable Price of Seal Resplacement
Hey All:
I've been calling around the Atlanta Market trying to get prices on seal replacement for both valve cover gasket seals, both upper timing chain gasket seals, & alternator bracket seal. The best price I've gotten is $1575 parts and labor for all of it.
I'd really appreciate everyone's opinion on this. Thanks so much!

Given the amount of work involved to replace the alternator bracket seal, and the remaining seals you listed, IMHO, $1575 is a good price. I am assuming they will provide warranty on the work.

Yeah 12 month 12k miles warranty. Problem is the car is going to go across country almost immediately, so essentially there will be no warranty work done.

12k on a warranty for this work sounds a bit short. My indy guy here in Cincinnati does 24 month/24k miles on all of his work.
Had the same issue when I got mine...bought in Jersey and drove it imediately to Cincinnati.

Last time I had a car shipped from Cali to Atlanta (reverse it about the same price) the CHEAPEST I could find was $850 -- they lost my car for two weeks and then it shows up with grease everywhere bot inside and out. Never again.
That and I love doing the CC drives with my dad. Its good father/son time, and once you get out past Midland/Odessa is gets stupid amounts of beautiful.

Hey -
So Solo was the lowest at 1575, but they don't include replacing the Spark Plug tubes at the prices and are replaced at $28 a piece. So essentially another $200. I'm going to go with Buckhead Auto Imports, its $1650 but that price includes all new Spark Plug Tubes.
Both shops are very impressive, and I would feel completely confortable having either one work on my car, for me its just about the $$$.

Hey give Austrotech a call at 864-895-9999 and see if he will give you a quote over the phone. He's in SC but the drive is not that far. The guy is one fantastic mechanic specializing in BMW
