Rear Veiw Camera not aligned.
Hey all,
Great forum so far and I am looking forward to using the info I find here and with Bimmerpost and BimmerCoders to so a lil coding on my 07 M530i. I did notice a small issue though when I put my car in reverse yesterday. The camera seems not aligned on the monitor and I've lost about 20% of the screen to the right. Please see the picture. I have scoured the web for answers but I may have not chosen the correct keywords. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

In the U.S. I don't think the 07 was optioned with one. So I'm assuming this is aftermarket, that said the first thing I would check is did the trunk latch/camera move?

Jap series.
Should have mentioned before, this vehicle was imported from Japan. If the camera is off, would the right 1/4 of the screen just randomly go black?

Its only a guess, without all the info thats the best anyone can do. You didn't mention randomly. Is it aftermarket or not? Do you have business or pro nav? Just by the looks of the screen it is business, which is smaller viewable area. So if the picture went off to the unviewable I imagine thats what it would look like. I mainly suggested it because it should be easy and FREE to check.

Sorry again for the confusion. By randomly I mean I just put the car in reverse one day and noticed that the display was black at 20% and continues to stay that way. Also Its as if the lines that assist never moved, just the picture did. I am not sure if it is aftermarket as I bought the car used.

if you have the after market camera like mine. I use modmynav. the media interface has some settings for PDC that might have been enabled by accident. no telling what brad your unit could be but at the end of these install directions it shows the extra settings. your unit might have something similar
