I discovered what may be a cure for the rear seat bench creaking that seems to afflict a few cars on this forum.
After prodding around the parcel shelf and rear centre armrest I couldn't re-create the noise. I then moved the rear head restraints around in their holes and created a very similar sound to that I'd heard driving along. I did three things and I'm not sure which cured it, anyway:-
1) I applied a little WD40 into the headrest holes on the seat back
2) A little more WD40 under the plastic circular "plates" on top of the seatback
3) Adjusted the height so that the head restraint is clear of the top of the seat.
Early days yet but it seems to have cured it. Hope this helps others.
