I noticed that my MY06 525i (Canada) does not have rear fog light? Anyone else in Canada or US has it in yours?
I don't think rear foglight is illegal coz my previous MB and Audi both have it.
Thanks

No we don't have it in North America.
My Range Rover has an interesting rear fog light system, when you push the button the rear tail lights glow about 50% brighter. I think it is illegal to have a traditional European rear fog light, which when I lived there 20 years ago was simply a bright yellow light that helped people see you farther away in the fog-- it does not help YOU see any better.

I just feel safer, especially in heavy rain/snow when I can hardly see the car in front of me...At least I know the car behind can see me!
Thanks for the info though!

Ya I like rear fogs... not a bad thing... but I also like the wider lighted area for braklights that we have vs Europe.
Best thing is to Re wire it and make the Rear fogs light up also with the brake lights and a switch to turn then on when its foggy. A la diode will do.

I know some European cars has r-fog lights on both sides. The newer one has it on only one side in order not to confused people with the brake lights....

We have them alright, on both sides.
They are in the round parts in the back light assembly.
They add to safety when heavy raining or snowing occures.

Added note: In US many folks have rear fogs on their cars and don't know it. Put them on and leave them on - very irritating - worse even than the front fog issue - right ICEMAN

Thank you, yes!
I guess it's one of the major reasons, if not the MAIN reason, they are not putting them on US cars.
