Can anyone help. I reversed my new (5 day old) car into a letter box. don't ask how i did it. Thankyou the only damage ive seemed to have done is squash the paint/lacquer into 4 small 2mm raised specks. You can see them when you get up close. does anyone know how i go about removing them.

Really sorry to hear, this hurts

I can understand how you did it;
Too much nuclear waist in your brain
and the E60 is really hard to estimate the rear.

But seriously, what colour is your car?

If it is a light shade you maight try out some cleaner wax.

Ot then buy a paint pen from your dealer and then try the wax.

Of course there's the best way...

That's nothing at all compared to what my dad did to his E60 today... He backed into a supporting column (pillar) in his parking garage... So the rear bumper is now damaged and the left back panel (just over the left back wheel!!)

We take care of this car like if it was a baby. No dings at all, always park far away from the other cars etc. and then this happends!

The funny thing is we always talk about those pillars with carpaint on when we drive in the garage, and say "how can people not miss them?" - and then this happends today...

I'm going to show the car to my dealer tommorow, and book a time for a repair... It sucks!!!

Good luck with your bumper.. The price for repainting a rear bumper is usually around ? 450-500 at a good bodyshop...

With limited respect, are you sure the PDC wounldn't have helped?

The E60 actally, in my meaning, need the M front spec more than the rear.

So E60Sim, tell your dad to crash to the front end also and tell the insurance company
he was in a line accident...

Ofcouse the PDC dosen't help at all.. I can park the car without the PDC, and so can my dad. He just took the corner to sharp and too fast because he was late after some kind of traffic jam. That was, what he told me this morning when he called me this morning and told me that something terrible happend :'(

I've told him, if he should crash the E60, kiss a pillar with the front, so we can get rid of the stonechips...

Oh weel - shit happends... No person was hurt - thats the most important.. But damn!! Our beatyful E60... btw, I'm leaving the car at the dealer tomorrow = CIP 20 and hopefully MP3.

After driving a E60 in really narrow city conditions for about 2 years,
I still can't excactly measure the lenght of my E60's rear ,
I ususally leave a 20 cm loose.
No problems with the cars breadth nor front.

Glad you get the car appropriate fixed
