Just because the number doesn't register on RealOem doesn't mean anything. Most numbers stamped on bmw parts aren't the part numbers. I work for a bmw motorcycle dealer, just something I come across all the time.

+1 the number on the part is typically the drawing number and the part number that you see in realoem is a specific part number or color number.

I'll add that the part number you listed in your first post is missing a character, so that may be why you're not seeing it in the database.
All BMW part numbers have the following sequence: XX-XX-X-XXX-XXX
In any case, that bumper you posted certainly looks like an OEM M5 bumper to me.

Thats actually the part number for the bumper carrier. The skin is welded to the carrier and will take on a different part number (base assy) and then a final assy number that represents the actual end part as for color and options etc...
