RDS on with CIP19.1

My Ride: 545i Mystic Blue/Black Leather Type 124 Wheels
A BMW USA tech doc here says that cars with Professional NAV are supposed to have RDS turned back on after being upgraded with CIP19.1
Anybody got it yet and able to confirm RDS is now working ??

I have been so busy traveling that I have not had time to post here-anyway long story short I took an '05 545 off my dealer's lot in Aug. Awesome car-I could not pass up the deal. I had the german "Lawyer screen problem", and no rds. Yesterday I picked up my car after putting in it @ the dealer and they installed CIP 19.1. I DO have rds, car shifts better, smoother-especially in DS. CD shuts off now too when I use the dash button. I will try to go for a drive later today and try and report any other improvements after. I only have 740 miles so far so I really want to drive it!
Amazing car!
after CIP 19, but I think it's useless

[/quote]Forum members-I have no idea how to activate rds-I just listed this as one of the missing items that my car did not have to my SA. It was listed on the service order along with the other small issues that I had when I brought the car in for upgrading the software. It works now-with version 19.1 installed. Sorry I have no additional info.

It is a dealer settable thing
The bulletin says that RDS is activated by CIP19.1, but dealers may turn it off if customers dont want it

According to my work order I have CIP 19.01. The BMW online TIS system for the U.S. shows this as the latest release as of last week (28 Sep) so I don't know anything about 19.1.
Anyway I now have RDS with a U.S. NAV (ProNAV) car. Tune to an FM station and press the iDrive controller. A menu should pop up that includes an RDS menu item. Select it and press the iDrive controller. The RDS menu item should now be "checked" and the RDS text for any tuned or preset FM station broadcasting RDS test should be displayed. Worked for me. Now I a new problem where FM and AM radio stations cut out every once in while. Enough to be annoying. Only took the software update because I was in getting my PS/ARS fluid cooler replaced. By the way the release notes in the TIS do not show RDS as being fixed with 19.01. Go figure (maybe my work order is wrong though).
I'll have to see if it bugs me enough to take it back. Probably will.
