My CCC crashed and was replaced yesterday. This morning when I picked up my car the RDS was showing.
Unfortunately I don't know the CIP. It wasn't specified in the work order.
Sorry If is missed this as I've not been on recently, I did a search before posting and did not see anyone else mention this.

Any chance of asking the dealer what version they loaded?

Sorry all...but I dont think my 545i has RDS. 
6/6/05 build, but dont know what software version I have. Is RDS the system that identifies the song playing on FM? If so does this also help identify CD name and song title?

And yes, that's what RDS is. I don't know if the same system that supports RDS also supports CD-TEXT, which is the other mechanism you're referring to.

Just had my 530 (June 04 build) retrofitted for bluetooth. I believe that they updated the CIP to 19.1. I have NAV PRO and I see the RDS information if I click the box on. Still need to play with it more though. When setting the presets, the RDS information was cycling through, but when I set the "dial" the RDS info froze/labeled the station with what ever information was there at the time (song title, artist, station name, etc.) Maybe I'm not using it correctly or understand how it is suppose to work. Just have not had time to play with it yet.
Oh, and by the way, the bluetooth functionality is good. No problems so far.
