Please describe under what condition the rattles happen and which area.

When warm/cold? in the front/back? over bumps only?

Window/door creaks are excluded in this poll.

No rattles, no creaks, no nothing. Definitely the "tightest" car I've ever driven including Lexus GS 400 and LS 430 as well as Audi A6 4.2.

Mainly from passenger door & centre dash area, around screen. Used to be rear shelf too but I fixed this with a sock pushed between rear seat & shelf ! ( which the dealer failed to repair in 2 visits/ 2 days off the road!! )
My 2003 E60 is more loose than previous BMW, my 2001 3 series was far superior in the interior quality department.

From driver door (Not sure if it is the seatbelt assembly or the door contact with the frame). Also from the centre console at idle.

Rattles from the seat belts, Dash rattle driver side (heads up display?), squeaking noise from head rests (comfort seats). This has been a more rattle prone vehicle than my E39 was. Scheduled appt to have these fixed. I hope they can remedy these.

Back seat / rear shelf somewhere. It's driving me nuts and I can't find the cause

Rear Shelf... dealer said "cannot duplicate" I think its louder when cold so by the afternoon the sound quiets down a lot more. So I'm just living with it now.

If course it does not rattle since according to your signature it hasn't been built yet

Some random creaks from around steering wheel - cannot locate them, but since they happen ~5% of the time, I'm not too fussed. Also, some noises from cargo area / rear seat on sharp bumps (after all, it's a Touring). I'd say it's generally well screwed together.
