We played a little tag ass for a few minutes and came upon a red traffic light with no cars at it.
We both floored it at the green. By 60 he was a third car lenght ahead, his tires chirping with every shift, by 90 there was three car lenghts between us. If we were able to go faster the distance would have increased considerably. The sound of the M was fantastic.
We were next to one another at the next light and we both rolled down our windows. I told him his car sounded great and he asked me how much power was my car putting out, I told him I had the Dinan software and it was 384 hp & 421 Ft/lbs gross. He asked what it was stock and I told him 300/300, he said wow and tore off.
It wasn't even close but it was fun.

My Ride: 2008 Alpine White 550i Sport, Cream Beige Interior, 6-Sp Manual - retired 9/2011
Cool story. I hope it happens to me one day soon! In Pittsburgh I see so few E60's around. However, another Silverstone M5 pulled onto the highway as I passed it yesterday. I was hoping he'd catch up to me, but he was driving like Miss Daisy. I never saw him again.
And I've never pulled up next to an E60 at a light, in over a year of E60 ownership.

At least the M5 driver/owner was cool and acknowledged you at the following light. Respect. Glad to hear nobody was hurt or not in harms way (hopefully). Drive safely...

Yah, I ran with a Ferrari 430 some time ago down the freeway and we took off at 70 mph. I blew the doors off that 430 by the time I reached 110 mph
