Rain water inside driver's side door

We have a 2010 e60 with N52k.

There is a large amount of rain water that enters the driver's side door. Upon opening the driver's side door the water will come pouring out for about 50 seconds (from the drivers door drain. Its underneath the door that is closest to the left front wheel).

I pulled off the door panel and identified the vapor barrier had 3 places where it detached from the butyl tape. I took a new roll of butyl tape and made sure water could not get behind the vapor barrier. I thought I solved the problem.

It rained last night and when I swung the door open about 50 seconds of water comes pouring out of the door drain (the drain from the drivers door, underneath the door that is closest to the left front wheel).

None of the other three doors retain water when opened. Why is the drivers door retaining water?

Where do you think water is entering the door?

What is the fix for the driver's side door?

fixed a few places

Water is entering the door panel at the base of the window. What your problem is, the neoprene weatherseal at the bottom underside of door has dirt, mud thrown up from the road, blocking the drain holes on the exterior side of the weatherseal. Take a toothbrush and dislodge the soil and clean the area. Each door has 3-4 drain holes under the edge of the weatherseal and over time, if not cleaned, become clogged. My right rear door suffered this problem and sounded like a ocean when I open the door. Cure was working with my fingers to dislodge the debris and the door drained for couple minutes. Cleaned all 4 doors and do as PM every 6 months. Haven't had a problem sense I started doing this 4-5 years ago.
