Exclamation Rain/Light senor Error

Hello.

I have an issue, with Rain/Light sensor. I code stuff on my E60 and also diagnose problems myself and i haven't had luck on fixing the RLS error. Error says in Ista-D (Rain sensor not calibrated to windscreen) i have done rain sensor calibration in ISTA-D and also i have re-initialize it in INPA but still no luck, my errors keep poping up, i dont know if im doing it right. My windscreen has been replaced by previous owner, but it seems like its not re-initialized. As i understand the re-initialize can't be done before the error message is deleted, but it can't be deleted if it pops back in few seconds. any ideas, has anyone had this issue?
Thanks.

The only proper way to replace the windscreen is to order it WITH the rain-light sensor factory installed on it. Many service shops will try and put in a cheap after market glass then attach the sensor but I am not sure if that trick has ever worked. You may have an air bubble in there which could prevent the calibration process.
