I've read other posts from members with similar problems regarding CD players staying on, but how widespead is this radio issue and how long has this problem existed?

It's wierd, I was affraid to leave the car with the radio playing so I turned the car off and on several times until I got the bright idea how just maybe my bluetooth phone had somthing to do with this so I shot the phone off and presto radio was off.

Is there a fix for this, my cars only one month old?

I don't know the answer but this link may shed some more light on it:

Rudy's post answers your question. Press Start/Stop button once and the engine turns off but accessories are still powered. Press a second time with your foot off the brake and the accessories, including radio and iDrive screen, turn off. If you leave your foot on the brake at the second press, the car starts.

Hope this helps.

I had this problem yesterday. The iDrive stayed on even after the key was removed. I did the start/stop button press thing and still nothing. The iDrive was behaving as though the key was still in. Rebooted the iDrive with the key out and that did the trick.

Mine turns off after I exit the car and lock it (comfort access). Likewise, I believe when I unlock the car the radio is in the "boot-up process" to expedite nav start-up and bluetooth pairing.

I dont have CA but the way my car has always worked (and thats how its supposed to) is when I switch the car off the radio is still playing but as soon as I get the key fob out it shuts down, only on this occassion it didn't no matter what I tried.

Bruce, that's a bummer ... but I bet by the end of the week you will have a set of modules and gizmo's engineered that will permit control of every electronic device in your car via a remote Internet connection. When it's done - POST PICS!

As they say in the neighborhood, "YOU DA MAN!"

The same thing happens to me and my car does not have a start/stop button!

Well it only happened 4 or 5 times.
But it is annoying!

It stays on for a couple of minutes! And even if i press the button of the radio to turn it off, well it does not do anything!

any clues on this?
