i am about to change out my radiator in the upcoming weeks and was having a little trouble with finding the correct radiator,
real oem is showing me part number 17117519209 but it then says "in conjunction with compensator". I'm not really sure what i exactly need, any help would be greatly appreciated

If you are just doing a straight radiator swap you don't need the extra in conjunction parts listed.
I bought part #17117534914 since I was told #17117519209 wasn't compatible which didn't make any sense to me since it was listed on realoem.com as the part.
When I replaced my original radiator I noticed the new one was missing the red drain plug seen in the second link below. Click both links to see the difference. #17117534914 fit perfectly fine it just didn't have the red plug which is fine to me since its one less place for a fluid leak.

All parts are OE Behr:
17117519209 - Original radiator with the red plug my guess that precedes the part numbers below..

17117534914 - auto trans

17117534915 - manual trans

FYI fcpeuro.com seems to have the lowest prices I just used rmeuropean.com since it had actual pics.

Thanks ! i noticed on a lot of websites it listed part 17117534914 as the one and said the one on realoem was wrong.. which doesn't make sense at all but i will be using that website, appreciate the help now i feel confident in buying that one!

but part 17117519209 won't work for sure? i found the OE Behr one on that website for 90 dollars !! so cheap

#17117519209 may be the replacement for the M54 engine (2004-2005).
We both have the N52.
I guess you could order both, check them out and send back the one you don't use. If the original looks like the #17117519209 I don't see why you couldn't use it. I remember the tech telling me I ordered the wrong one since it didn't look like the original with the red plug. I was pretty adamant that it was the correct part since I did the research before hand.
Anyway we both verified fitment and part numbers again and installed it since every website literally said to use the #17117534914.
