Brought my bimmer ('04 530i) to the shop the other day and had them diagnose the dynamic driving malfunction problem.

They're assuming that it's the steering sensor that's giving issues and suggest I get it replaced and programmed for $2.2k.

How accurate is their diagnosis? Is this a DIY topic already covered?

I got steering angle sensor done by the dealer. Cost was $935.00 tax included. $2.2k is insane!
