Rather than the dakota (lcba), I wanted the nasca (u6ba). This was on standard seats with no cooling. Dealer took the order but a few weeks later I got a call - no can do nasca. Has to be with comfort seats I'm told. Looked at the brochure. I could order it with fully electric seats option 459. For days no-one could clarify the situation. I almost threatened to cancel the order. Eventually they said it had to be with comfort seats and as the brochure was a Europe wide document, not all options were not available in all countries. A get out of jail card. I gave up and took the Dakota. Maybe I should have ordered the seats in Germany, the doors in Spain, the engine in the US and the rest of the car in Ireland. I think the number of options are starting to get too much even for BMW.

I don't have NAV on my E60 so on the iDrive main menu screen I get an OBC option. I was expecting somewhat more than a facility for inputting destination miles and counting down from there. I thought there should have been some other functionality such as a journey planner or whatever. Wondering what options? other non-NAV forum users have within the OBC menu option.

On engine starting, the AAC comes on at the same time. If I switch the a/c off and start the car within, say 20-30 minutes, the a/c stays off. However, if I leave it longer, say over-night, the a/c starts again with the engine start. After a short time-out, the default situation seems to be start the a/c whan the engine is started. I would prefer it the other way around. Can it be done?

[/quote]Thats interesting. On the E46, the system just remembered the last condition the a/c was in and acted accordingly. With the E60, it just comes on all te time.
Thanks.
