Exclamation Questions on 2007 550i

I'm really new to the car enthusiast lifestyle. I've had a 07 550i sitting in my garage for about 2 years. I'm trying to get it up running again and make it my "project car". Before i left it to sit it was blowing white smoke, it wasn't overheating I drove it for about two weeks then got a new car. Now I'm trying to get it back up it looks like the battery is completely dead tried to jump it a few months ago and i couldn't get it to start some friends said it might be the alternator. Today I'm taking the battery to get charged if that doesn't help what should I look at next.

How did it go? A battery sitting for two years will need to be replaced. White smoke is not a good sign, could be an indication of valve stem seals gone bad. How many miles?

First, I got a new battery and the car worked fine the white calmed down a lot compared to the last time I saw it. I noticed that I was topping off the coolant after a week of driving it 2-3 miles a day. I'm pretty sure its leaking coolant but I don't know where it doesn't leave puddles on the ground.... The car has about 109k miles on it.
