Hi all.

I'm looking to buy the E60 space saver tyre from an independent tyre dealer. (Don't want to pay $Tea!er prices)
Would it be possible for someone to look at the markings on their spare tyre, and tell me which is the best match from those listed below (I found these on a website).

1 * T135/80R17 102M TL Continental CST 17 * tyre. ? 44.20 ? 51.93

1 * T135/80R17 Continental CST 17 102M TL tyre. ? 44.20 ? 51.93

1 * T135/80R17 Continental CST17 103M TL tyre. ? 44.20 ? 51.93

1 * 135 80 MR 17 Continental CST 17 TL tyre. ? 49.67 ? 58.36

I have a feeling that it's the one that says 103M, but would appreciate if someone could confirm.

If anyone knows where I can find the tyre listed on realoem.com, that would also be helpful.

Many thanks.

Sitting in the office, trying to see if I could read it on my car here http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=40432 but can't. I'll tell you this evening unless someone else chimes in.

Just checked mine. It's a Continental T135/80 R17 102M CST17. Hope this answers your question.

Cheers. Fantastic. My thanks to you.

I wonder what the difference between 102M and 103M is then ?

Bruce would appreciate if you could also confirm you also have what 'littlemouse' has.

Hopefully one of the techy ppl will contribute here to let us know.

Mine also is 102 M isn't 102 the Load Index that shows what weight the tyre is rated to carry and M I think means its a Mud tyre.

Anyone know if a 135/90/17 Tyre fitted to the OEM space Saver rim will fit in the spare wheel well ??
What if I was to deflate the tyre sufficiently ?

I can get hold of one of these dirt cheap, so was wondering whether it could work.

Thanks in advance.

Hi there,

I think you might run into problems with the 135/90 as the rolling radius is different. If you were to fit it to the rear, one wheel would be turning faster than the other and it could cause damage to the diff.
Best to stick with the 135/80
